Patio Diaries | The leaves on the sidewalk

I will never look at leaves on the sidewalk the same.

I've been sitting on my patio this morning, enjoying the wildlife. I've seen a male and a female cardinal. The male was singing his morning song high up in a tree. Then I saw some crows across the street, and one in particular got my attention. He was walking along the sidewalk, digging near the edge of the grass causing leaves to fly up in the air, and then in turn, they'd fall back down to blanket the sidewalk.

I've always assumed the leaves on the sidewalk must have been ones that fell from the trees above, but I will never look at leaves on the sidewalk the same.
