Monday
Today was unexpectedly an errands heavy day. I decided to run to CVS in the morning to check out their Easter basket stuffers selection. We went to Five Below over the weekend to look but nothing stuck out to me. From there I got some candy and from CVS I got some candy and some cute stuffed animals. One is a gray bunny ballerina and the other was a lamb that wraps around your wrist. I also went to Publix last minute because I decided I wanted to get some fun treats for St Patricks Day. Because I'm on a low iron diet, we didn't get corned beef this year. I found a gluten free mushroom soup and plan to make potatoes in the crockpot. I also got the rest of the ingredients I needed to make Oreo cream cheese cake pops and a cream soda Poppi.
Tuesday
This morning was all about my doctor appointment. I got a heart monitor that I'll be wearing for 7 days. It's mostly to try to catch any palpitations I may have, but also to get a big picture of my heart health. I have hashimotos and was recently diagnosed with hereditary hemochromastosis and both can affect heart health, so my doctor is just being thorough in the testing he ordered. After my last heart appointment, I treated myself to a lamb build a bear. I named it Agnus Eirene which is symbolic of peaceful victory in Christ. I wanted a physical representation of my faith as it has been one of the main things to carry me through my health issues. I also saw a phrase "the one who was wounded now heals" and that is a mantra I'm focusing on. This weekend I picked up some mystery toys I could unbox after my appointment. My appointment was so early, no stores were open yet for me to get a treat right after, so getting a mystery toy to unbox kept it a surprise. I got a hello kitty figurine one, a littlest pet shop one, and a polly pocket one. I have a little shadow box shelf that I display all of my calico critters, knick knacks and collectibles on, so thats where these will go. Theres something nostalgic and whimsical about being an adult and being able to love your inner child. Today was also St Patricks Day, so we made the Oreo cream cheese balls. We covered them in white chocolate, green sprinkles, and topped them off with a lucky charms marshmallow. I was so tired from the events of today, we decided to just get pizza for dinner. Because I wasn't able to find much between CVS and Five Below for the easter basket, I decided to look on Amazon. I got my daughter some classic golden books and a magnifier to bring on nature walks. I also picked up a coloring book for me to do during the next few days I have to wear the heart monitor, and a diamond painting set to do on the last day of wearing the monitor, just to have some fun activities to look forward to.
Wednesday
Today I focused on some content work like editing my recent video diary and uploaded a new podcast episode. I finally found the shirley temple Olipop this past weekend at Five Below and I tried it for the first time today. Between the Spindrift and Poppi brands, I personally like the Olipop version the best.
Thursday
I spent the day vlogging a morning in my life because I wanted to try a video format different than the video diaries I've been creating. I'm still not sure if I'll stick to it but it might be another fun creative outlet. I also got some tasks out of the way that I've been putting off like cleaning my makeup brushes, laundry and cleaning out our closets to bring clothes to the thrift store. Since I've been off short form social media, I've had more time for hobbies and analog activities. I started coloring a page in my new coloring book. It was also the first beautiful day outside in awhile. We've been getting a lot of rain, and we're currently in the midst of a cold front, so I took advantage of the break in rain and went on a morning walk. There was a chill in the air, we saw some beautiful spider webs and dew drops, and it was really enjoyable because we didn't have to deal with the typical heat.
Friday
Today I decided to have more of a chill, and intentionally slow day. I ate a lot of yummy foods like a yogurt bowl with granola and a waffle, for lunch i had roasted potatoes with blue cheese and rice wrap spring rolls with veggies and guac, and for dinner we had pizza. I was able to get outside quickly before the rain and watched a few episodes of Gossip Girl.
