monday
today is day 8 of my 75 days of slowing down challenge. I want to move with ease throughout the day so I'm not going to make a to do list. I'm going to take it easy and slow.
Today's focus seemed to be mostly about getting outside in between all of the rain, and about filming. I started another vlog documenting my journey through 75 days of slowing down and also filmed a one hour long sit down video.
I successfully got outside for 4 walks today and ended the day with 8,000 steps.
tuesday
One of my goals yesterday was to get some crafting time in, but it just didn't happen, so I want todays focus to be all about that. I also want it to be self care focused and full of analog activities. Some of the things I want to do today: crochet, junk journal, take a bath, watercolor painting, read, possibly a puzzle, making a fruit syrup for my matcha, possibly baking a gluten free pastry, diamond painting, writing, making my summer bucket list, etc.
Today I was able to make a blueberry syrup for my matcha, get outside a few times for walks (I reached 8,400 steps), junk journal with my birthday mementos, watercolor paint a seashell pattern that I found inspo for on Pinterest, I also took a bath which was really relaxing. I'm going to keep this same vibe going for the rest of the week.
Wednesday
Its 10 am and I'm already at the half way point of my step goal (4,000 steps so far). Walking has become routine at this point, and getting outside has just become something I naturally do in between tasks. It's been a nice way to break up different parts of the day, and something to look forward to. So far I've edited my day 8 and 9 vlog of 75 days of slowing down. It'll be nearly an hour long. I also made another batch of the strawberry pop tarts. I hope to get some more crafting done today and to make more time for reading.
Thursday
I woke up with a migraine and spent most of the day resting and doing self care. Although it was unfortunate not feeling good most of the day, it encouraged me to slow down and really take it easy. I was really intentional about the foods I ate, to support my body during this stage of my menstrual cycle. I also took an epsom salt bath, laid down, watched some comfort shows and scrolled on pinterest. It was a much needed cozy day. Some of the foods I had include oatmeal with wild blueberries, honey, peanut butter, pumpkin seeds and hu dark chocolate chips, egg toast, a smoothie, a veggie burger, cheesecake, and pizza. The perfect balance of nourishing and comforting.
Friday
Today I woke up feeling great. I think I slept decent, my headache is gone, and I was optimistic for the day. It's interesting how one day away from routine can recharge you in a way that makes you excited for the simple mundane, and even the tasks you may find daunting. Today I'm spending some time getting content work done so I can clear space on my phone and get ahead of schedule. I also want to film some new series and video concepts, but in order to do so, I need to finish the projects I have already started. I've spent a lot of time working on the patio which has been a nice way to spend some time outside while being creative. I have so many analog activities I want to get back to and summer bucket list activities I want to do, so thats another reason why I want to catch up on my work so I can find more of a balance between it all. Today I spent a good chunk of time finalizing my summer bucket list on Pinterest. I want a visual representation of what I want my summer to be and feel like. I plan on making a video all about it!
