My Dollar Tree has small pieces of fabric for sale in the craft aisle and it is the perfect amount to make a summer patchwork t-shirt. I got a red and blue floral pattern to create heart shapes with and want to sew it onto a shirt or pullover sweater.

These are all the craze right now, but I think it would be more fun to DIY an embroidered tank top yourself. It can be the smallest daintiest design or encompass the entire shirt. The sky is the limit.
DIY Summer Home decor Ideas:
1. Crochet placemats
Handmade accents are sentimental and fun. It also allows you to customize your space easily. My goal is to crochet placemats for my dining table and make each one a different color for a fun pop of color in my kitchen area.
2. Paint Seashells and display them on a canvas
Turn your beach treasures into coastal wall art. You can use modeling paste or spackling paste on the canvas as a base and then add your shells on top and they will cement into the paste. You can also just hot glue the shells to the canvas and paint them fun colors for a different vibe.
3. Paint rocks
This would be a kid friendly summer craft and would be a fun way to add sentimental mementos to your garden. You can also leave them around your neighborhood or community.

There are so many air dry clay crafts I want to try this summer, but at the top of my list is a pufferfish trinket tray. They are just so cute and it would be a whimsical summer accent to a desk or in the bathroom.

This just felt really dreamy and magical and would be a cute trinket dish for jewelry.

I feel like this would be the hardest air dry clay project because it's more 3d, but it would be the cutest jewelry dish or coastal handmade gift idea.

I saw inspo on Pinterest of dainty flowers painted above a doorknob and it just reminded me that there are very simple, easy ways you can add whimsy around your home using materials you already have. So this is one of my summer house project ideas.

A fun way to add personality to a space, and you can make garlands for different occasions. I crocheted a variety of garlands for different seasons and holidays and gave it as a gift and it was such a fun project. You can use different materials like felt or paper too to change it up.
11. Patio shell chime
I want to string together some of the shells I collected while beach combing and add them to a wooden dowel rod to create a shell chime for the patio. I think this is a fun way to use your shells and to capture the summer season.

4. Try pastel art
Theres just something calming about the blending techniques with pastel art. You can smudge, layer or add texture to create vibrant art.

Capture a scene from one of your favorite summer places or a piece of nature that stood out to you. Whether you sketch a building or a tree, this is a fun way to keep memories.

Take advantage of shadows, reflections, unique framing and props to create artsy summer photos. Spend time curating photoshoot concepts and themes.

I take photos nearly everyday and love to make weekly collages, post on Pinterest or vlog for YouTube. I also want to get back to traditional paper scrapbooking and having my photos printed for albums or junk journals. I've been posting monthly zines to my blog and I think getting these printed in physical format would be cool too.
