Recent gluten free restaurant and pastry reviews | cheesecake factory, salty donut, bjs brewhouse, dominos, the seed

There have been a few tasty food items I have recently had that I want to highlight. Let's start with my birthday lunch. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and I got the gluten free corn tamales, a custom salad, and the gluten free godiva chocolate cheesecake. I had the tamales before and loved them so much I knew I had to get them. They come with sour cream, salsa, cilantro, avocado and salsa verde. They're filling enough to be a main meal. Although they have a variety of salads, I wanted one without meat and some specific toppings, so I just ordered a custom salad. I got tomato, red onion, cucumber, black beans, blue cheese crumbles, avocado, and blue cheese dressing. It was delicious. And of course, the chocolate cheesecake is always a win.

Another thing I had on my birthday weekend was the new salty donut gluten free blueberry donut. It is a baked cake donut with blueberries folded into the batter, that has a blueberry glaze and maple icing. It. was. amazing. By far one of my favorite gluten free variations they have come out with.

A new drink I tried that I forgot to mention in my recent drink review blog was a blueberry banana bread matcha from The Seed. It had banana milk, blueberry puree, and banana cold foam. It is a seasonal specialty so I hope to be able to get it again soon.

Something I've had a few times now is the gluten free pizza from Dominos. For awhile, we were ordering from Blaze Pizza because they have great dairy free and gluten free options. Then one night I tried the gluten free pizza from dominos. It took a bit to find my perfect combination of toppings, and my favorite has become the parmesan garlic sauce and cheese. Sometimes I'll add pineapple or onions. It's pretty simple, but so good.

We went to BJs Brewhouse for another birthday lunch a few months ago and it was my first time eating there since being gluten free. They had a great selection of options and even had a gluten free menu. I got the gluten free chicken bacon ranch pizza. It was large enough to feed multiple people, so I brought my leftovers home. I also got the wedge salad. 10/10. Both were so good and I'd order them again. Then, what I was most excited for was the gluten free pazookie. They do only offer one variation of this - chocolate chip, compared to the variety of gluten cookies they offer, but it was still so good. It came with a separate container of ice cream. I'm assuming they do this to reduce cross contamination. All in all, I was happy with my experience there and I'm looking forward to going back.
