about

Finding beauty in the mundane has become a mantra and a daily practice for me. Although I have always tried to look for the glimmers in daily life, experiencing some health issues really put into perspective how important a practice like that really is.

Photography was the very first art form I fell in love with that could capture moments and feelings I wanted to bottle up. Then came poetry, videography followed, and now, writing. All of these different methods of expression emulate feelings and experiences in different ways and I have a great appreciation for each and every one of them.

No matter what medium I'm creating in, I find that I am a storyteller through observation. I am a witness to a moment I find beauty in and I want to capture that moment and share it with others.

Throughout the years I have dabbled in different ways to share my work whether it was through different digital media platforms, different formats, or different self expressions. At this point in my life, after some huge perspective shifts, and as I near 30, I have discovered that I want to be more simplistic in how I share, and definitely more intentional.

Many people are calling it the analog age, where we are seeing a shift in how people are showing up online, leaving short form platforms, and embracing long form content more. I think many of us are burnt out both with creating and consuming. I can definitely relate and my recent perspective shifts and priorities have definitely impacted how I show up online as well.

With all that being said, welcome to my little corner of the internet. My intention with this blog is to share reflections and diary entries on every day life and have some more curated, topic focused posts as well. I want it to be a place where I can combine all of my passions for photography, videography and writing.

If you are interested in checking out my other work, you can find me on YouTube and feel free to check out my music.

Welcome to My Blog

I don't know why I'm finding writing so hard lately, when I know that it is the form of expression I feel most close to. Or maybe that is changing too? The last year or two has been a whirlwind of shedding old versions of me. And with that comes changes in my creative expression. I am finding that the way we create is often tied to what we find identity in. And when that completely falls away, or changes, or no longer fits, sometimes it feels like youre standing in an empty room, with so much possibility, you just don't know where to begin, and that becomes your stumbling block. So this is me beginning, even when it feels like I don't have it all figured out. Maybe I should give myself more credit, because logically, it does make sense. In tenth grade I got my first (and only) dslr camera. (now the iphone is fancy enough to be a camera) This was around the time Instagram was taking off in the photography community. I quickly fell in love with artsy photos, setting a sce...

nature is my church

We recently went to a park during sunset and it was one of those breathtaking ones. You could see the rays of sunshine behind the clouds and tree silhouettes, which to me indicated the sunset was going to be a good one. It sure was! The sky was painted with orange, and even pink at one point, but for the most part it had this deep amber glow.  Some of my favorite things to notice in nature lately: the way the orange hues highlight edges of the trees during sunrise or sunset.  the glittery sparkles that are created when the sun kisses the water with its reflection. the details of trees.
